Review on Bosch RA1165 Under Table Router Above Table by Victor Anderson

A great and affordable alternative to ridiculously expensive router table lifts. While it's not as easy to use as the really great lifters on the market, I gave it 5 stars because it's such value that I'm glad I didn't notice a small difference in ease of use. I have 1617EVSPK. and the default base in mine does NOT work like this base. Rates may have changed over time, so different situations may arise. The key question is whether the handle/shaft of the height adjuster has an open end that can be hooked onto the shaft with a tool. On my standard base, the end of the shaft is just flat, ending slightly past the threaded portion of the micro-adjustment. The micro adjustment is held in place with the same e-clip that has been proven to fail - mine is fine, but I'll add a locking ring if needed. I bought this unique base because their micro adjuster has an important extension with a hex tip that allows this base to work with an over the table controlled hex wrench. This extension is visible in the photo as it extends from the cocking arm to the base with the hex head placed inside the base - the hex wrench is only a few millimeters longer than seen above the base. .
