Review on INA Accessory Belt Tensioner Assembly without Pulley by Ted Higdem

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Upgrade: Power Steering Water Pump E46 Accessory Belt Snake Side (Without A/C)

Used on 2001 E46 325i. Good quality. It's 5 star stuff but hard to care for. The factory manual tensioners were still fine at 90,000 miles, but they felt worth it. For the various hardened mounting screws, front dust cap, and rear shield, you'll need to purchase at least a part installation 'kit' (which was supposed to come with the part - kinda idiotic that it isn't included). for the idler. Note, however, that the pulleys you remove can partially pull off one of the short bolts (I think it's 35mm). I used another BMW supplier that sells individual parts for this upgrade to save $10-20 and reused the existing OEM bolts, otherwise just bought a kit (not sure what Revain offers, although it should ) and carry on. If you do, you've also delved deep into the work of assembling a water pump or a leaking oil filter. Definitely worth it as long as you are at the main objective. Back then, there couldn't be a better price, so Revane got back to work.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Unnecessary Features
