I bought this adapter at a great price due to lack of Thunderbolt 2 hubs. This hub is almost perfect, but it has one major drawback: there is no power adapter to power the hub! I mean, what were you thinking? Yes, I understand that the USB cable coming out of the hub can be used as a power source, but what if the reason I bought this hub is because the USB ports burned out on my Mac!? There's hope, somehow. There's a port for connecting power to the device, but it looks like they've chosen the most unusual DC output port. I have at least 15 power supplies scattered around the house, from external hard drive power supplies to baby monitor power supplies, and none of them fit. Heck, a micro USB would be much more useful as there are many USB A side power supplies that support 5V. Hard pass if you can't connect a hub with a USB adapter. Why didn't they just turn on the power supply?
