This seems to be a well-made item. With a bit of careful pulling (in addition to the screw adjustment), the cage can be opened up enough to hold just about any water bottle, while also remaining small enough at its fully closed position to hold a standard bike bottle securely. This item's one fault is the handlebar mount, which apparently was built under the assumptions that all handlebars are the same diameter and that 2 metal surfaces rubbing together won't result in one of them being damaged. I'm debating whether I want to keep it. and if I do, I'll have to buy a larger-diameter mount with a protective sleeve inside in order to avoid further scraping up the matte finish on my bike.
