Good formula for use with the Bissell upright carpet washer, just wish it was on sale more often. $20 is a lot of money for a carpet cleaner. This substance, mixed with hot water, removes stains from our carpets and rugs very well. The smell of lavender is rather faint and only present when washing. The Scotchguard formula doesn't seem to really protect carpets, I don't know how it works. We like to use a pure lavender formula. There hasn't been a stain that we couldn't remove with this product. And we wash our carpets every day because the kids got them dirty.
