Review on 🔌 Lectron Tesla to J1772 Adapter - Max 40A & 250V - Compatible with Tesla High Powered Connector, Destination Charger, and Mobile Connector (Black) by James Ssims

This device has proven itself but is difficult to test and validate. My first unit didn't work, but the replacement unit came quickly and worked perfectly with my 2016 VW e-Golf. Additional time and steps are required for the adapter to work with the e-Golf: 1) Deactivate any pending charging plans in your vehicle's e-Manager. The charger will start/stop at least once when connecting and when it does it will revert to your charging schedule and most likely not charge. 2) Connect the adapter to the end of the Tesla target charger. Count to twenty.3) Plug the charger into the car.4) The car will start charging in about two to three minutes. The Tesla charger may make some noise during the process, but it should start scrolling green a little earlier than the car. 5) Waiting. After the Tesla charger starts scrolling green, it took another minute for my car to start charging. Once started it worked perfectly. Overall the process is a bit cumbersome, but the adapter works great for me and allows me to charge in places where J1772s aren't available.
