Like many people in the Midwest, I have enjoyed many games in the corn hole. Now that my kids are older (ages 7 and 10) I wanted to introduce them to corn too. I thought this cornhole shuffleboard game might be a little easier to start with. Last night I opened it for the first time and found it very easy to set up and explain. My two children played for a few minutes. How does that compare to cornhole? A few notes: - It's really thin and easy to carry. All you need is a board to play with, and when folded, the beanbags stow away inside. I love how compact it is! The board is slick so it takes some technique to land the beanbag without slipping off, but it's definitely not overly slick. My kids did well with this - there's something really nice about playing corn hole when you drop the bean sack into the hole! This game lacks the ability to score points that the other player can't knock down, so it's perhaps a little less satisfying. it's unlikely to become anyone's absolute favourite. The packaging was pretty good - foam panels on the corners of the wood and fairly stiff cardboard. Mine had a small dent on the edge of the wood but to be honest I don't expect a game like this to stay in pristine condition for long. The build quality is reasonable, definitely good enough when used as intended. When you fold the board it is held in place by two Velcro straps that are pinned to the wood. So far it's working well, but I don't think it will last long. I can buy and attach a metal latch for long-term use. Overall, this is a fun, simple game that's also very accessible to younger players.
