This was my first welding machine and my first MIG, not to mention gasless MIG. The welder worked as expected, MIG took some time to figure it out. The first problem I had was the torch tip was less than 0.8 and the wire spool was 1.0. After I replaced it with the included 1.0 tip, it fed just fine. After several unsuccessful attempts to make test beads, I went to YouTube and found beginner videos on gasless MIG welding and before long I was welding. I wish there were more detailed instructions on the dials, I was just playing around with it. until I got a nice bead with good penetration, but the numbers are counterintuitive for the voltage and current levels as they are only labeled 1-10 and not the actual voltage/current output. Overall it did well in my little renovation around the shop and I would recommend it to someone who needs a welder for a small project
