This regulator was sucking 1.5 amps from the battery.

This regulator continuously draws 1.5 amps from the battery. It's hardly noticeable, except that the battery dies after a full day of inactivity. I spent a whole day trying to figure out which component on my car was the problem only to find out it was a two week old regulator. Bought an AC Delco for $45 and it fixed the problem right away.
