The tensioner has failed and my Forester is beyond repair. We very much regret this purchase. Do yourself a favor and grab the Gates kit. It's only about $50 more. You will thank me for this advice, trust me. This is really unacceptable, especially as I have not received any response from the seller at all! Tensioner failed 3 weeks after installation. It was installed exactly as it should have been by a trusted experienced technician, tightened and checked by a handyman before being handed to me. This kit is bullshit and now my Forester.
