I have just completed installing this product on my 00 Wrangler TJ. The installation went largely without incident. However, I have encountered an issue with the cable that connects to the heating element. After the installation was complete, I connected the heater and it didn't work. After filling the radiator with coolant, I was in no hurry to drain and disassemble/troubleshoot. After playing around with the heater cable on the car for a while, I noticed that the lugs in the adapter that attaches to the heater aren't wide enough from the factory. I had to use a flat head screwdriver to expand the plastic that was clamping the spade terminal in place so the adapter would fit properly. After restart everything worked. Time will tell how effective this is, but with single digit temperatures arriving in New England tomorrow I expect to hear about it soon. Oh, and a word of caution. Risk of electric shock. Unplug the cord before messing with the adapter attached to the heater. You have a very high chance of being pinched, the wires are exposed in the cable and only connected by friction. Use the zippers to keep this item in place once you're dressed! ------------- Almost a year later. After a summer, many washes and several thousand kilometers, the ZeroStart still works great. I hooked up a Jeep for the first time last week and ZeroStart is back up and running without incident. Different thoughts in a year. Get a timer or some other method to enable this remotely. Mine is connected to a ZigBee switch and I can remotely switch the product without fiddling with the plug in the garage or jeep. This saves power and also tracks usage.
