I was so excited about the quality of these sketchbooks! I was a bit concerned as sketchbooks can be a deeply personal choice and a good price often means poor quality. Not these sketchbooks! The price was very reasonable - $13.47 for *2* 100-sheet sketchbooks. I've seen (and bought) sketchbooks with fewer pages for the same or even more money. Does that mean the quality is terrible? Not at all. The tooth of the paper is amazing: smooth enough for detailed images and jagged enough to add some texture to the drawing. Cardboard sleeves that protect the paper when carrying the album; Double helix piping won't lose shape, snag or completely ruin your favorite sweater; perforations are sharp, with a slight fear; and the weight of the paper lends itself not only to drawing but also to working in mixed media. While it might not hold up to something as wet as watercolor, it's definitely heavy enough for heavy use of ink, glue, or paste. These sketchbooks make a great journal for artists or creatively inspired writers who enjoy adding visual information to their journal entries. You can't go wrong with these sketchbooks. Everything about them is amazing. The company is amazing. I received several emails with the perfect touch of kindness. I feel like I can really help this startup get off the ground and they are definitely worth my time and effort to help!
