Great lens for SLR lenses

This is a great multi-purpose lens for amateur/beginner and intermediate photographers. I mainly use this lens to photograph my family. It has a wide range of 18-250 (minus the conversion factor, I think it's closer to 24-300). Used it a bit for night shots and it works pretty well. For the price unbeatable. I'm sure a pro could tell you a million wrong things. I didn't notice any image distortion or fisheye effect on any of the images. First I removed the lens hood that came with the kit. It created shadows at the bottom of my images. Great lens for on the go. If you can only afford to buy one lens at the moment, this is a great all round lens.
