Wayne dalton quantum 3212 with hard wired opener wall buttons will not communicate with Homelink system on late model vehicles.This product fixes that quite easily. The handheld remote programs immediately to vehicle per instructions. Pairing the vehicle to the receiver requires several attempts with the learn button 30 second deal. It took two attempts with a 2020 GMC Sierra and a 2004 Cadillac Escalade and about 4-5 2 second vehicle button pushes. Range on both vehicles about 400 feet. Installation is straightforward. The supplied transformer is heavy for ceiling installation into garage door opener ceiling outlet. Securing that thing is not the most elegant affair. At least on my quantum 3212 you can not tap into the power connections on terminal strip which supply 8.5 vdc to safety eyes.tried it to eliminate transformer.didn’t work for me. This item also does not interfere with the existing handheld and wall buttons which continue to function. While the receiver box is quite lightly built, almost flimsy, once installed no one or anything is going to bother it. I even screwed directly into 5/8” wallboard it is so light although wall anchors would be more professional. I installed 2 of these on a 4 door garage and will be buying the other 2 to complete the deal. One unit cannot control all doors independently.it is a simple device which closes the opener circuit on that particular door when remotely commanded. I suppose you could wire it to more than one door but they would all open and close together.Compared to the alternative of changing everything out, this is an easy, cost effective solution to having a door opener kicking around inside the vehicle. I recommend it without any reservations. I am very satisfied.
