This was the perfect size and shape to use for my Tunisian crochet project. They were actually the correct crochet hook size as advertised. However, the sanding process was not yet complete and the wood does not look finished yet. The hooks snagged terribly on my yarn when I tried to use them. Luckily, a couple of free disposable nail files were included to help me finish off the sharpening process, but that shouldn't have been necessary. All necessary grinding and finishing operations must be carried out at the factory. Using them a little more I can find out if the problem is the lack of finish and if they wear out quickly or need more sanding due to the poor finish.
