Review on Viotek GN32LD QHD 32 Inch Curved Gaming Monitor - 144Hz Refresh Rate, 2560X1440 Resolution, FreeSync and Anti-Glare Technology, Adjustable Stand, HDMI and DVI Input by Melvin Imsong

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Is it native 1080P, is 2K "overdrive "?

Out of the box the picture was amazing. I thought it was possible to change the refresh rate in the monitor settings, but it was in the NVIDIA settings (right click on the desktop). I switched to 200Hz as I was using the included cable with my 1070 6G. 1080 resolution. Text on icons and programs was very sharp. I switched to 2K at 144Hz and everything on screen went down 50% as expected. Set the text size to 200% and it's back to the right size, but a little fuzzy. I loaded RDR2 and played in 2K at 144Hz, everything worked fine. When I looked around, there was almost no blur. I ended up leaving 1080P at 200Hz as I'm fine with that. There was almost no motion blur on anything I threw at it. It actually took me a while to get used to it as I NEVER got above 60Hz! For the price to get a 200Hz refresh you can't go wrong! ONE minus - SMELL! OMG my room has been smelling for days, had to open the window! After a few days it is almost invisible. It's amazing to have all that extra screen real estate in your games, you see so much more of your game! Add a 200Hz refresh and you'll be able to stop these villains in Fortnight with ease, as everything stays sharp while you aim at your targets. If, like me, you're happy with a resolution of 1080 or 2K, then this monitor is the best value for money I've seen!
