I bought this instead of other brands and Bimmer-Tech which are between $500 and $700. I just wanted Apple CarPlay. I have a 2017 BMW 320i xDrive (no navigation - NBT), I came from a 6.5 inch screen. This screen is huge, but not stupid. It also enhances the interior of your car! I've also uploaded some pics (in case you have any doubts that I'm real) Pros: Price: I have the 2G version as I won't be using 4G LTE or GPS. I use CarPlay. The price is fantastic and affordable! Display: Clear display with a resolution of 720p is a non-OLED LCD, which is normal. In all honesty, the screen is decent. You don't need a 4K, 1080p or 8K UHD OLED display in your car, be honest with yourself. It's touchscreen too! Ease of use: It took me a while to get used to it, not because it's difficult, but because I'm coming from a small display. Once you get used to it? It works very well! CarPlay: to put it bluntly. This device will NOT drain your iPhone battery on its own. Depending on your phone and whether you use maps, this device can cause significant battery drain. Why? Wireless CarPlay with PEMP or even if it is OEM. and it mirrors CarPlay, hence the battery. Again, this is Apple's problem, not PEMP's. CarPlay is a lot of fun and easy to use. If you have an iPhone and want CarPlay? Here's how you do it. Remember that you must start CarPlay after starting your car, this is not automated on a cold start. It's ok, I hope they release an update soon. Installation: Took an hour (give or take). Super easy, don't worry when you open the box and see the wires and stuff in the car and there is a device in the box. TAKE YOUR TIME. Super easy and quick for me! Cons: Every mileage is different. Personally, I would like CarPlay to work automatically after a cold start. I also wish we could customize some of the menus on the system when selecting iDrive 7, 6 or 5 templates, but it's no big deal. It takes about 10 seconds for the Android device to boot up. Again, this is not a problem and occurs with ALL non-OEM brands. CarPlay sometimes cuts or skips, but RARELY. For people who complain about PEMP's English or the fact that they are a Chinese company. First, all of our items are made in China. Not even my hearing aids, which cost $6,700. They react and will try to help you. I love it. I can feel the quality of this device. PEMP. Please add bug fixes and improvements whenever you can, it will be an awesome product!
