Don't let this offend you. But I only used pads. Looks like my old Escalade has already been rebuilt. I found the process pretty easy after watching the video. I didn't even have to remove the brackets. I just slid my boot under it and now the old man stops at 1400 rpm. That's saying something, because it's a six-liter V8 engine. :-)
