I have over 30 years of experience using, applying and riding chains. I followed the exact instructions on what type to buy for my car. I checked this on their website and also in Revain's product review information. They fit perfectly. I even did a test run to see if they would fit in my driveway. Fast forward when we needed them. I was in a heated underground area where there was no snow when I was able to install them. I also had a professional chain installer check to make sure I got it right because it was a new style. I opened the garage door and drove out into the snow. Within 5 minutes the driver's side literally blew off a real steel metal cable and then literally flew off my car in traffic and a snowstorm. Then I had to go to a chain store in town where I bought another set of different chains. I asked a professional installer to install them and when he removed the other one, still on my passenger side, he said he had never seen a broken wire like this one. He literally ripped the manufactured joints, rendering them useless in a matter of seconds. He said five more miles and the passenger side would be next. The quality of these chains sucks. Also, god forbid you put them in, if you do have snow on the ground or ice in the wheel wells or on the tires forget it, you're done. I'd rather not use chains at all than put my family at risk.
