Will scratch the wheels

I hesitated when writing this review. Chains are easy to install. Chains are easy to remove. and the same warning should be easier to see in the product description. Chains will scratch your wheels whether they stick out or not. and sometimes crashes. which means reinstalling in bad conditions. I've looked everywhere for a wheel cover to prevent further damage. I ended up buying a 1" thick closed cell yoga mat and cut 2 circles the size of my wheels. I installed them just before installing theโ€ฆ

Good if you know how to install

Much easier to install than regular chains or cables as you don't have to move the car during installation. So far I've only tested and tested them, but everything went pretty well. The printed instructions with chains aren't that helpful, nor are the videos here on Revain. There are some good videos on a popular video hosting site that I feel like I shouldn't mention - I would suggest watching one or two of them. But it's good to know that cable connections have "tire side". printed on themโ€ฆ

From minivan to snow monster!

So we recently got a Honda Oddysey and were planning on mountain adventures in the Sequoias in mid-March so we were expecting some serious snow. After reading and comparing some other reviews, SCC seemed like the best option to me. Well we were NOT disappointed! I tried them on before heading out and they seemed fine on the pavement, but I definitely felt the expected jolt. Fast forward to check in at the first ranger station where chains were required in the middle of a snow storm and I gotโ€ฆ

Not the best, but not the worst either.

Well I thought I'd spend some money and buy some decent circuits instead of your cheap run-of-the-mill local hardware circuits. If there's less than two inches of snow, it's fine. They work great when all you have to do is negotiate a chain link roadblock and freshly plowed roads. The setup sucks, you have to get on your hands and knees to wrap the rear end around the tire, and when you're standing on the edge of a busy freeway/motorway when it's snowing, it's no fun. And if your tire has snowโ€ฆ

Worst online purchase I've ever made - buyers beware!

I have over 30 years of experience using, applying and riding chains. I followed the exact instructions on what type to buy for my car. I checked this on their website and also in Revain's product review information. They fit perfectly. I even did a test run to see if they would fit in my driveway. Fast forward when we needed them. I was in a heated underground area where there was no snow when I was able to install them. I also had a professional chain installer check to make sure I got itโ€ฆ

Lifebuoy fits in car

or at least a ski day saver. I just got back from a ski trip to the Santa Fe ski area. After a snowy night, I used snow chains twice in two days. The road to the top was 15 miles and I used chains for about 8-10 miles of it. At the beginning of the drive, my all-wheel drive Toyota Highlander got along well without snow chains on the cleared part. However, after slightly skidding a few times, I decided to put on snow chains. The process only took about 10 minutes and was very easy following theโ€ฆ

Ride in the toughest conditions, never lose control

Until recently I have never lived in a climate where I needed chains. I now live in Washington State and decided to take a short vacation to Leavenworth, Washington just before Christmas. I had to go over Snoqualmie Pass and another smaller pass. I chose these chains purely based on feedback, primarily they are better than traditional chains and easy to install. Received the chains in 2 days (love the Prime) and took our front wheel drive SUV for a test drive. The first tire took 10 minutes asโ€ฆ

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM

If you are going to an area with heavy snowfall and need snow chains, either do not go there or never buy these Revain snow chains. Because these chains are incompetent and poorly made, they will damage your vehicle. Installing the snow chain was difficult. You may not be able to drive more than 20 km/h. It also makes a lot of noise and he kept shaking the car. You can lose traction. After driving about 10 miles with the chains on, I heard a loud noise that sounded like something got stuck. Iโ€ฆ

Works on icy roads and snow!

Moved to Renault. Didn't watch the video but paid those who were on the i-80 site when we got to Plaserville. I have a broken shoulder and the car is full of girls. Definitely fast forward. We stopped at 89 Hot Spring in Sierraville and along the way we removed the chains as I was tired of only going 30 mph. It started snowing after I left the hot spring and I thought that this would be the most beautiful and mesmerizing while driving, so my companions and I decided to stop and take photos. Weโ€ฆ
