I drink more when I use a straw due to mild physical issues, but I don't like the idea of using disposable straws which end up harming the planet and wildlife. So I did a little research and settled on these straws. I was a little skeptical because stainless steel, while easy to sanitize and clean, can taste like metal when drunk or eaten straight out of it. This problem is completely eliminated with the help of silicone tips. They're a little tricky to put on with arthritic hands, but the downside is they hold up well. Another problem with using SS is that I drink from large glasses at home, but Renier thought of that too! Mufflers soften the straws when placed correctly so the straw doesn't hit the rim of the glass. I am very happy with these straws!
