I bought them mainly for the rubber tips. It took me a while to get used to drinking from the metal straw I use in my Yeti cups. The initial cold or hot flush on the lips on the first sip was shocking and this helps reduce that. And yes, they work, but they fall off easily, which is why I've lost a few.

My dad and I can't stand the clatter of straws as we drive down the street. It's AMAZING and works so well! I got a set for myself and then for my mum for Mother's Day (actually it's more of a gift for my dad as she doesn't understand the clattering frustration) but they work as described! I was a bit nervous as the straw looked pretty flimsy but after using it it worked great and I have no complaints. Everyone who rides in my car must now use a straw and a muffler :)

Great! Exactly as described they look very nice and fit perfectly in my 30oz glass. I distributed them in my office and everyone loved them. I purchased this product in May and attached the tips to the straw to keep the straw from touching my front teeth. I have some pretty delicate dental work. The tips are easy to put on and hold. I always hand wash straws (and love a little brush to make sure they're clean inside). However, over time, the tips will loosen and slide up and down easily. With care they will remain, but I wouldn't allow small children to use unbaited bait or straws. If the tips come off, they can pose a choking…

I have sets in both sizes. How have I lived without her for over 50 years? I've been drinking through a straw my whole life. I also take straws with me when I travel.
