I purchased this product in May and attached the tips to the straw to keep the straw from touching my front teeth. I have some pretty delicate dental work. The tips are easy to put on and hold. I always hand wash straws (and love a little brush to make sure they're clean inside). However, over time, the tips will loosen and slide up and down easily. With care they will remain, but I wouldn't allow small children to use unbaited bait or straws. If the tips come off, they can pose a choking hazard. And without the tips, the straws could chip your teeth. For these reasons, I downgraded her rating to three stars (instead of five) and asked Revain to issue a warning not to use it on young children.
