Review on 🔍 HI Double-Ear Fine Nylon Mesh Strainer Set - Set of 4 by Liz Walker

These nylon filters come in a large plastic bag but in this bag they are individually bagged. I have included three photos to show the packaging, four different sizes with a visual aid so you can "see" the different sizes. The first photo shows the filters before I unpacked them. visual size, I placed a one-cup Pyrex measuring cup in the largest strainer (7 inches). The third photo shows the same mug in the second largest strainer along with a 16 ounce plastic bottle on the third and fourth largest strainers. .The sizes are really good and should fit most of your needs, unless you are cooking a large pot of pasta, spaghetti or maybe don't need to rinse a large amount of veg or fruit then you will need to bring a colander with you. These filters are well made, not flimsy. The double ear provides security and stability when placed on a container such as a frying pan or bowl. The nylon has good strength, the mesh is quite small which makes them perfect for rinsing with quinoa, and they are easy to rinse. The handles and grommets are sturdy and the handles have a handy "hanging hole". I am very happy with my purchase and was pleased to see the care that was taken in packaging this nylon filter set. I bought mine because I make my own kefir and prefer not to use a metal strainer when draining kefir grains. As long as you take care of your screens, use the right size for your project, wash, dry and put away when you're done with your job, this beautiful set will serve you for years. Given the different sizes, I won't need to buy another set for a very, very long time. My larger projects require my screen. Summary: Nicely packaged, well made, good size, nylon, no metal so no worries about acidic food interaction, will last a few years. I think you will be very satisfied if you choose this set. I gave four stars instead of five because although they are quite strong they are made of plastic and if used incorrectly e.g. B. using the right size for your project, could probably tear. However, I stress again that this set is quite durable and will serve you well.
