my friend commented on the quality of the large ice cubes made from it. I was very surprised that the cubes formed quite clearly. I have a "system" to make clear ice, but these cubes still come out pretty clear. Even when they're only 80% full, the cubes are still pretty big. The lid is finicky, which is my only gripe. The lip is quite small so it takes some finesse to get a perfect fit, plus it's quite flexible. I like that it can be washed in the dishwasher. The tray smelled more like "new" than unpleasant silicone.
