UPDATE 1/1/2021 I bought in April 2020. I've found that my cage isn't heating up, so I saw this issue when I removed the device. The photo I posted shows the ceramic socket melting the power cord. This product clearly has a design flaw! Therefore, I no longer recommend this item. The previous review read: This item is small but powerful. Radiates very good heat for a smaller cage. There is an on/off switch, so no temperature control. It comes with a battery powered digital thermometer. However, the lamp stopped working after 3 months. I bought the 2nd device at the same time and it still works perfectly.
