Not my favorite for transparent watercolor

Bought for a transparent watercolor workshop and was a big mistake. This paper is very absorbent and allows for little smearing or play when used wet-on-wet. If you're buying for a rough or heavy layering technique, this might work. As for the previous review about it being difficult to separate, it turned out to be no more difficult than any other block, they all require a spatula or other flat knife to remove the sheet after varnishing. The key feature of the pad is that it is held together on four sides with glue, not a gasket, so you don't have to glue or tie a single sheet together to stretch. There is usually a small hole on one side to insert a knife into to separate the top sheet when it is done.

Cons
