Very fun and pretty but the tip wears out quickly

I love these markers. I'm so glad I have her. They are so pretty and the colors are magical. The more pigmented colors (blue, dark green, purple) are really juicy and contrast well with silver sparkles giving it an ombre sort of effect. It's really awesome. Other colors are also very nice, but the color is not so different from the metallic. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of several quality issues. Playing with these markers is great fun, but can be frustrating for beginners or people who expect them to work the same way as high quality brush markers. After a bit of use, you should be writing a REALLY big size with a couple of these (some of my lower case letters should have been around 1.5 inches). The tip is quite soft and wears out quickly, even on smooth 32-pound HP laser paper. .If you try to write with small strokes, you can't make the strokes so thin that they aren't very uneven and streaky. Well, at least I can't. Markers have a slightly short, thick felt-tipped brush tip. (unlike double brush tombow markers). I prefer this type of tip but I want it to be more bouncy because I have to twist it a lot. The tip bends and does not fully return. The amount of silver depends on the marker and will be more or less concentrated depending on how you store each pen. The red started out as a metallic pink, but after a few lines of writing it turned into a dull blood red. I put it in the box, tip down, for about 30 minutes and now it's dark red with a slight sheen. The black is also subtle, but has never completely lost its shine. The blue is so juicy I can't keep it upside down. n or pen is filled with blue. The ink in the pens is dark enough to reflect on 32 pound paper. The color is mostly opaque (except for red). Rich colors take longer to dry and if the color is applied too thickly, blisters can form on the silver. Any wet spots on the paper will stick your pages together, so you'll need to make sure they're dry before you fold them. I didn't notice a few wet spots so I folded the finished pages and ripped a few apart. I use both sides of the paper for practice, so I could just make one side of each side, place them side by side, and then write on the other side once they were dry. No big deal, just something to plan! I wish they were more of an artist quality but they are so pretty and so funny and make practicing more fun so I'm still very happy.
