Fits 1996 Cherokee XJ and 2001 XJ. Ideal for both. The ride quality has definitely improved. Pay attention to the problem with a rusty mounting screw. On both jeeps, the upper mounting bolts broke due to rust. The welded nuts on the back of the frame had to be knocked out. I wrapped 22 gauge solid copper wire around the threads of the new Class 8 bolt and fed it through the frame and into the mounting hole. There are several videos online showing how to do this. Steel wire didn't work as well as copper wire.
