Review on ๐Ÿ”ง KYB 344081 Excel-G Gas Shock Absorber by John Miller

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Save your money and buy a better one

These are an order of magnitude better than the blown out 1999 original 115k shocks that I replaced on my truck . They are not as long as the factory. The rubber bushings are thinner than my worn originals. The tabs for the bottom two screws are narrower and shorter. My front suspension flexes when going through almost any small bump or dip, even at speeds below 10 mph, it's unbearable to hear. I have new front suspension, ball joints, springs, spring seat bushings. I bought these to last a few months and I wish I had never bought them. I've put 130 miles on them with no trailer or load in my back. It feels like I installed mesh door gas struts on my truck. I hate leaving reviews like this but it's true. money wasted.

Pros
  • Strong seamless mounting tabs and pin bushings to eliminate rattle
Cons
  • Big and bulky
