Knarr-Knarz-Knarz

I was impressed by them until it got colder. I have never heard such loud bangs and they are already a month old. The ride quality is excellent, but I probably wake up in the mornings to the neighbors driving speed bumps.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Little things

Big shocks! good as a replacement

I've been using these shocks on my 98 Astro Van for a few months and they are great shocks. Good hard bouncing and no more bouncing after bumps in the road and copes well with changing road conditions. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • so far so good

03 Dodge Dakota 2WD. Better than new!

GREAT experience, they arrived early (always a plus) and were exactly as described. Thanks again Just Suspension. HUGE difference in ride on my 2003 Dakota, better than factory. I say what a pain!

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • sparse instructions

The perfect balance between comfort and handling.

Excellent shock absorber kit. They are well balanced between performance and comfort. If you like a plush ride go for civilian shocks, if you want aggressive handling go for the gas. You are perfect for me. However, on my 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis, I had to add some washers to get the bushings on top of the shock tight enough. They didn't have enough threads to tighten the top without adding washers. -1 star for that, but not critical at all. I'm happy.

Pros
  • KYB recommends OEM replacement shock absorbers for household vehicles
Cons
  • Zero

Amazing product, the best in shocks, struts and suspension

Over 100,000 original shock absorbers. time to change, right? There have been some handling changes and I'm looking forward to getting the rear end of the Dakota. A few Tipps. The day before removing, apply a little WD40 to the upper shaft. If you don't have 3 hands and/or help, buy a special tool that Lisle makes (OReilly Auto or maybe here) to help remove and install the top nut which is $15. Since these are gas shock absorbers, it is recommended that the vehicle be raised slightly to allowโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Uses a seamless slave cylinder in combination with a teflon coated piston band for reliable sealing and longer life
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Save your money and buy a better one

These are an order of magnitude better than the blown out 1999 original 115k shocks that I replaced on my truck . They are not as long as the factory. The rubber bushings are thinner than my worn originals. The tabs for the bottom two screws are narrower and shorter. My front suspension flexes when going through almost any small bump or dip, even at speeds below 10 mph, it's unbearable to hear. I have new front suspension, ball joints, springs, spring seat bushings. I bought these to last a few

Pros
  • Strong seamless mounting tabs and pin bushings to eliminate rattle
Cons
  • Big and bulky
