Review on ๐Ÿ๏ธ Enhance Performance with Andrews Cam .495 Lift EV27 Grind for Harley EVO Big Twin by Justin Sherman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great cam for the money

I recently installed this on a '98 Wide Glide. Installation was fairly easy, with a few caveats.1. Replaced the factory INA cam bearing with Torrington bearings, a necessary upgrade to improve reliability.2. This cam must be installed on later Evo engines. Simply order a .055" washer and place the washer between the thrust washer and cam. (Note: the order in which the thrust washer and gasket are installed is critical). .carefree to repair. Use a hydraulic press to pull the gear off both cams and press the old factory gear onto the new cam.Use one of those big lighted magnifying glasses and a carbide tipped stylus to make index marks on the old gear.Index from the edges if keyway on the camshaft.I noticed that new camshaft gear was already scratched that way, the gears are quite easy to press on, the old gear is super easy to put on the new shaft with a press, I heated the gear first with a heat gun to make it easier tried to align the index marks within +/- my uncalibrated eyes The bike works great with this camera, no regrets.
