If you are into cars and computers, this is what you need instead of a wearable device. It works with FORScan, which you can download for free. First I downloaded the program and first got acquainted with the functions, then I ordered a Veepeak adapter, very simple. This is a quality adapter that fits perfectly into the diagnostic socket on my F150. By following simple instructions with an adapter, the canister solenoid malfunction that was causing the engine to catch fire was detected in seconds. I turned off the engine, restarted it and ran FORScan again and the error went away and the engine light went out. The OBD stored a fuel system trouble code for reference. If you want to do more and take control of your vehicle's systems, you need to pay FORScan a small license fee to update the software. FORScan can also act as an oscilloscope, recording parameters and displaying them in real time while driving. Very cool. You'll know as much and maybe even more than the trader since you can use it regularly to solve those pesky sporadic problems. Thanks to VEEpeak for creating the adapter for FORScan. I'm sure there are other ways, but this is an inexpensive and convenient way.
