Review on Mr Gasket 5860 Ultra Seal Valve by James Townsend

I bought these gaskets for a 1985 Corvette. Taking into account the described materials of construction, ie metal core, layers of cork and rubber laminated together with a special vinyl cover. The ad clearly states that these pads can be used over and over again. But the reality is very different. The metal core is not visible. They are no stiffer than other cork/rubber gaskets and I can absolutely guarantee that they will not be used after initial installation. Additionally, I am very apprehensive about even using these gaskets on that notoriously leaky valve cover assembly that is specific to this year/model. I was misled by their advertising claims. cork lining. What a rip off.
