Robust cast clamp. Good buy :)
Definitely durable cast. The rough non-slip surface holds the mooring line very well for a safe morning. I doubt the rope will slip off like polished spikes would. Don't expect the rope to go through this spike like you would with polished spikes as it will definitely pull through. I would have increased the number of sprockets, but I had to drill a hole for the screw as I couldn't find a stainless steel fastener that would fit into the recess provided in the head.
