I don't often write reviews but here it is. I purchased this item in hopes of increasing the mileage on my 2011 VW Touareg TDI. My driving style is 1/3 city driving and then 2/3 good roads at 80 km/h without many traffic lights or stop signs. I averaged 28.3mpg before the chip and 26.1 after install. I noticed a loss of power and the transmission wouldn't shift properly (like it was cold). After a little research I found out that this chip is fake. This makes the computer think it's colder outside, so the engine runs a little richer. (Therefore more fuel). Not good for the engine or anything. In addition, all tuning chips will affect your warranty. If you have problems with the engine, the manufacturer DOES NOT COVER your problems under warranty. I've read dozens of cases where this has happened. In all cases that went to court, the legal fees were equal or even higher than the repair costs. Do you think Innovative Performance Chips will pay for the new engine? Hope that helps. If you really need more power or mileage, go to a professional tuner and spend the extra money. Also, expect YOUR VEHICLE ENGINE AND EMISSIONS WARRANTY TO BE VOID. Remember that if you have a problem, you have to fight it in court. Hope that helps
