It costs serious money for what it is. But as soon as you use it, you're like, "oh, wow, that was easy".I used it on 3/8" aluminum tube as well as 5/16" steel tube. Yes, it works just fine on slightly smaller diameter tube as well. I tried it on some 1/4" steel tube and the results weren't as good (straightens to a slight arc). Then again, you can get a 1/4" version of this but a 5/16" version is harder to find. It's stupidly easy to use and is completely worth the cost if you want anything resembling straight tube.
