4 stars simply because of the price, what you get and above all what was expected (I had low expectations). Basically I got this for primer shotcrete and it was pretty good. The spray pattern was a bit inconsistent, but that's why I used it as a primer. It can be sanded during preparation. Be careful with cups! My first primer mix resulted in the metal cup breaking at the joint and paint spilling all over it. Luckily I wasn't over the parts when it happened. I only used one of the guns and put it on a commercial compressor; However, the internal pressure for good atomization was around 26psi (it was cold here too). Inconsistency is when I stop and start over. Even with an independent regulator on the hose along with a filter, the spray pattern didn't seem to stay consistent. Lubrication and a really working trigger can help give a more consistent result, which is another reason for 4 stars. It didn't clog, spatter or spatter and I have no doubt that once the air valve spring works it will have a positive effect on consistent spraying. I also thought that after long pauses in spraying, the problems with spraying might be due to the paint cooling in the gun, and as science suggests, it becomes denser. Temperatures in the early stages were in the mid 50's so it's not the best environment to draw correct conclusions and I literally opened the box and used it without taking it apart first. In general I've seen the worst on pricier shotguns, but obviously I'm not expecting to produce show car liveries. FYI, my single part pistol is the SRiPro (base and clear). And my second one arrived with a completely torn thread on the distributor valve. This kit arrived in better condition than the manufacturer's more expensive model.
