Although I've been using k&n air filters for years, when I put this filter in my new '19 Silverado V6 the car ran poorly and the check engine light came on and hesitated. I only had 3,000 miles on the truck and after only 50-75 miles I had to take it to the dealer due to an issue with the mass air flow sensor that needed replacing. I took the K&N out and the check engine light went out and no more hesitations but the damage was done and the main mass airflow sensor needed replacing. Remember I installed it right out of the box, I didn't add any extra oil or spray or anything just replaced it.
