I think I'm reconsidering straws! I ordered these for my elderly mother so she could lie on her back in bed and drink out of her giant glasses. They do an excellent job of that. And while several reviews have been about staying cold, this is the most notable feature of these straws that I really like. Some ice in a glass and these babes make every sip super frosty. I will use it myself. Now mom also drinks hot liquids through a straw and knows how to let them cool down a little beforehand. I wouldn't recommend metal straws for hot drinks, but it's not very common. They seem a bit thinner than regular plastic straws, but that's not a problem. The finish is cool on them, and while I like the included cleaning brushes, rinsing them under the tap should keep them clean for most clear liquids. Good price for something that will last a very long time. That's enough for my small family of three to always have it ready for use.
