This is a large deluxe coloring book for adults. And I mean big - the book is up to my knees! The listed dimensions (17.4 x 11.8 inches) are correct, but I was still surprised when I saw it in person. This is BI G. The paper feels incredibly luxurious. I don't know much about paper thickness and quality, but I do know I've never felt such good paper in a coloring book. Coloring this book is a pleasure. The book lays flat when opened, which I really enjoyed coloring in. The cover might be a bit flimsy for the huge size of the book, it's a bit flexible. I noticed this as I was carrying the book to my desk. The pages are perforated if you wish to remove them from the book. I've tried painting with metal pens with a 2mm tip (heavy bleeding on laptop or computer paper) and there was no bleeding at all. The back of the page was clean with no evidence of metallic ink on the other side. The illustrations vary. I don't find them all "wild and mystical", but they offer variety (mandala, flowers, cacti, palm trees, a few women, etc.) and lots of spots to color in. The paintings are framed with a 15" x 11" rectangle on each side so you can hang them as art if you like.
