Review on Delphi FG0913 Fuel Pump Module by Tyler Ramey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The brand name and reputation must mean something.

Replacing the fuel pump in my stepson's car was a breeze. Deciding on a pump was not that easy. Are you just building an electric pump? Hundreds of options but NONE of them confirmed that the pump matched the Accord OEM wiring. Most of them come with a pigtail connector that needs to be cut off and connected to the factory wiring. It's okay, but it's a point of failure if things aren't done right. And soldering/using a heat gun on a dripping fuel pump is, well, questionable. We decided on a new pump assembly with a new filter, pressure regulator and fuel gauge. Again 10 choices from obviously imported junk to Honda factory parts. You can buy the device for $25 or $400. We decided to buy a complete block from the well-known Delphi brand. I have used Delphi pumps on two other vehicles (still in service) in the past so I had some confidence in the brand. Delphi used to (and still can) supply GM OEM parts. They were a by-product during the GM bankruptcy. Maybe it's just a play on the name, but the part has become top quality, well packaged, with great instructions, easy to assemble and worked great. 'enough. I have never regretted it and the price was very competitive, at least $50 less than local parts stores.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
