I bought this palette to use for watercolor painting and I loved its size. Before buying I used a ceramic plate from my kitchen which was fine. But I needed a bit more to hold the new watercolor set I just bought and I loved that it had so many individual mixing cells. a palette I was willing to deal with. how. But excessive beading makes it almost impossible to see shades and color combinations. Here's what I got with this palette. Like I said, I've done my research and it's common practice to apply some light scouring to the surface of a new plastic pallet to fix a beading problem. I used a toothbrush and some toothpaste and carefully brushed each indentation. After cleaning, I put some watery purple paint on the brush and started blending it on the palette to see if the beading issue was resolved. It's not like this. What is worse? Purple colored almost every cell in the palette, which brings me back to my original problem - how can I judge the colors I'm trying to mix on the purple surface?! paint with. Multicolored stains are here because I wanted to create a color chart with over 60 colors and just needed a huge palette. The design/concept is great, but whatever material/enamel they use, it's terrible. If I had known this was going to happen, I would never have scraped a palette and started beadwork instead. Since it's so cheap, I might consider buying another one. But A) It's an optional article, so I need to earn at least $25, and B) The main article!
