When we first tried to turn on the machine water flowed out of the rear overflow pipe or something and flowed back into the reservoir while nothing was in the cup was not expired. He did it over and over again, my wife was willing to go with him but I figured he just needed to be refueled. I must have run the brew, hot water and rinse cycles more than 10 times and even started pinching the overflow pipe in the back to direct the water to the front. It worked out in the end and it's been going great ever since. If necessary, no. But with the low cost of repairs, it's a little hard to complain about the few minutes that went into priming. I'm even considering another one for work. So if you have a similar problem, try to prime it like I did. It may take a few times, but keep trying. I'll update this when the device decides to go downhill. If there are no updates, then everything is still fine. Update: July 18, 2016 I know I said don't upgrade if the device is still good, but I couldn't help but praise this product more. It was absolutely on the same level and there wasn't a single problem with it. I have one more thing to add and maybe someone has already commented on it, but whatever is here. Some complain that it doesn't always deliver the right amount of liquid in the cup. Well, chances are you're letting the tank run too low. After each brew it draws water from the tank to prepare the next brew and when your tank is almost at the refill mark it will only draw to that amount. The next time it's brewed, you'll have a deficit. So don't wait to fill the tank once it hits the line. Go ahead and fill the container when it is about 1 inch from the mark. Ever since I noticed that, there hasn't been a lack of liquid in any cup. Keep enjoying this wonderful brew!
