This is exactly what I was looking for. I usually take the lid off the pot to strain the water out of the small pasta pot, but I inevitably lose it in the sink. Before ordering, I was wondering if it would be strong enough and fastened enough not to fall off. It absolutely does both. I've used it on different pan sizes and it works exactly as it should.
