Only on the picture does it look thinner than it really is. I thought it was thinner than my TriMax but it's just as thick. This lock is also the only one I could find on the market that is forged and not cast. Molded locks are much more susceptible to ice spatter, making them easier to break. The locking mechanism is smooth and easy to use. My only complaint and it's small, the lock is very long. This makes it easier for a thief to cut it off. Suggestion for other riders: I recommend putting this lock on the rear wheel. My reason for doing this is that your front wheel is already immobilized by the fork lock. If you lock only the front wheel, Then a truck with a small cable lift can lift the front wheel off the ground and tow your bike. Having both wheels locked makes it more difficult to steal as both wheels must be off the ground or both unlocked. Lock Size: Overall Height: 70mm or 2.75 inches.
