Loved these pedals. I used it occasionally for a year and a half. The pin that locks the cleat engagement on the back of the pedal came out while riding (the same part you use to tighten or loosen the cleat retainer). I couldn't click. I tried banging it back with my aluminum multi tool (that's all I had). Vain. I was able to limp home (10 miles) just by putting my right foot on the pedal. Needless to say, it wasn't very pleasant. This part is just hammered. On some pedals (like the Look) the pin has a hex head or a Phillips head. You can check if it's tight. Before this event I liked these pedals. I used 105s and 540s. They were easy to buckle up. Good selection of trigger settings. Shimano cleats are durable, easy to use and affordable. For now I'm back to my old look classics. To be fair, I had other pedals as well. Pedals don't last forever. The old adage "you get what you pay for" rings true. ponies and take 105s or Ultegra.
