We have an energetic, protective Lab and sometimes she'll jump up from a sound sleep to loud barking at some little noise. I put this device in our living room where we have one of her dog beds, and she has been in deep sleep in the evenings. She is still alert during the day and that's because she gets taken to the dog park or goes in the backyard.
