Is working great in my review

We have a 9 year old bichon terrier and a 1 year old golden doodle. The golden doodle recently started marking the house after months of no issues after being house-broken and neutered (could have been due to various reasons). Tried this remedy and the marking stopped over night. We only plug it in at night in our bedroom and the doodle sleeps underneath it most of the night. Both dogs love being relaxed in the bedroom as soon as we plug it in nightly. We only smelled the "burningā€ scent theā€¦

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • Maybe it the moon maybe itā€™s the house. But these two dogs still have the same issues.

Calming diffuser good for me

While this was recommended by others as well as a vet, we have not seen any improvement with our dog. He is still very destructive if left with no human interaction. He has another dog in the house that we hoped would assist in his separation anxiety, but that has not been the case either. He is a very large dog and was adopted months 6 months ago. We have had the other dog since 2012. It could be that this may not be effective on his breed. He is an Anatolian Shepherd that spent 12 months ofā€¦

Pros
  • OVER 90% EFFECTIVE: ThunderEase for Dogs is vet recommended, and clinically proven to effectively reduce anxiety & unwanted behavior in 90%+ of dogs, by making them feel safer, calmer, and less stressed
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other calming remedies

My two dogs are happy!i

Once we set up this Thunderease diffuser for dogs, within minutes our two small dogs were contentedly "filleted" on the living room floor. Flat on their sides and snoring. They have both been nerves up by sharp noises, such as when I snap my gum. Much more upset by fireworks set off!I purchased this to help take the edge off their emotions over July 4th. Plugged it in early, as a test run. Yes it really works! I would pay more for it, if I had to. One dog stopped chewing on herself, A behaviorā€¦

Pros
  • The product helps to keep my dog calm.
Cons
  • Havenā€™t seen a difference

Really works--promotes a less reactive dog

I've had this plugged in for over a week or so now and have noticed it helps my dog stay a lot calmer inside and less reactive to the door (helps when no one rings the doorbell too). He noticed it right away when we plugged it in and went over to smell it. He seems to understand the smell and it helps keep him calm. I notice less barking, whining, and alertness by the door and in the house. Will keep using! We also unplug it at night to help conserve the use of it and make it last longerā€¦

Pros
  • POWERED BY ADAPTIL: Recommended by thousands of vets and scientifically studied and verified for over 20 years. Use only in properly functioning 120 volt electrical outlets.
Cons
  • May not be effective for all dogs

Donā€™t know if it does anything

I didnā€™t really have a control variable when starting to use this. My dog also started daycare and I did some separation training. I got this for her originally for seperation anxiety. I donā€™t know if it caused any change because I feel like daycare and the training could have been the main factors in her separation anxiety decreasing.

Pros
  • Relaxants
Cons
  • Like the product but refills donā€™t last for the whole 30 days

Didn't seem to work for my Catahoula's

My 2 yr Catahoula didn't seem to notice there was anything around to maybe help with fireworks. Maybe she's too high strung. Who knows. Everyone is different. Definitely was worth a shot, but didn't work in my case.

Pros
  • Helps to alleviate stress from previous traumatic experiences
Cons
  • May not be effective for dogs with anxiety related to car rides

Donā€™t think it works

I was hopeful this would work with all the thunder we get here in Florida. Unfortunately, I donā€™t feel this works for our dog.

Pros
  • Clams my older dog
Cons
  • Can't really tell much change

IT WORKS! on my review.

My husband and I recently (2 weeks ago recently) adopted a 4-year-old retired racing greyhound. Within the first week, he had taken to us well, but definitely still had some anxieties, specifically with loud noises and new people/places/dogs. I researched online, and figured it was worth a shot to try this diffuser. At first I put it in our living area, but after a day (and rereading the instructions), thought the area might be a bit too big/open for it to work properly. On Sunday, I moved itā€¦

Pros
  • Can help to ease the transition when introducing dogs to new environments or people
Cons
  • Diffuser may be dangerous if accidentally swallowed by dogs or children

Works keep buying the refills though

Minnie and Louie use it. It works but you have to keep buying the refills on time. It's like a glade plug in. Your pets get used to the scent.

Pros
  • STOP PROBLEM BARKING, destructive chewing, trembling, fear of loud noises, separation anxiety, and many other "not-so-fun" symptoms your dog may display while at home
Cons
  • Dog may become too dependent on the diffuser

Didn't work for us

Seems like a good product and may work for your dog, but it did nothing for mine. He just wanted to sniff it and lick it. Used it for a month and saw no difference in his attitude or behavior.

Pros
  • All-natural and free of harmful chemicals
Cons
  • Diffuser may not be effective if placed in a room with open windows or doors

This product did not work for pup

The dog has separation anxiety and I wanted to try this product to calm her down. Unfortunately, she is still a terror when people leave her alone. But, maybe itā€™s the dogā€™s issue and not the product.

Pros
  • Can be used in multiple locations in your home
Cons
  • Pheromones may not work on dogs with extreme fear of loud noises

A good addition to the anti-thunder arsenal

I have a big dog that does not deal well with thunderstorms. So imagine the 'fun' we have during monsoon with almost daily thunderstorms and there are days were the storms roll through in bands providing nearly 12 hours of thunder. I use all sorts of stuff from the white noise of fans, classical music, and calm aid supplements during monsoon season. By the end of the season we have it down to a science. It seems as he gets older he gets more stressed over the sounds and what worked last seasonā€¦

Pros
  • Supports a healthy bond between dog and owner
Cons
  • Pheromones may not be suitable for dogs with respiratory issues

Appears to work good for me

I have a dog which has severe separation anxiety. I tried the Finn chews, but while they helped to mellow her out, the separation anxiety remained. I tried some hemp seed oil which finally worked. However, since I was desperate for something to work, I also ordered the ThunderEase Dog Calming Pheromone Diffuser Kit, which I began using the following day after starting the hemp seed oil treatment. The oil worked after the first dose, so I'm not completely sure if the pheromones complement it orā€¦

Pros
  • Can help to prevent separation anxiety in new puppies
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs in homes with elderly or immunocompromised individuals

Cons
  • Can be difficult to refill the diffuser

Using it my grooming room

We have 4 Standard Poodles and we are always brushing or grooming them in the grooming room. We think we have noticed a bit of calming, especially with the puppy. I have it on my subscribe and save and just leave it plugged in!

Pros
  • ThunderWorks
Cons
  • Not recommended for pregnant dogs

Give it a try good for me

Iā€™m not sure what to think about this product. First off the outside box said "see inside for instructionsā€ and there were no instructions inside. The diffuser and liquid refill were also floating in the bottom and the paper packaging that was supposed to hold them was ripped so Iā€™m not sure if I got a used/returned item.In regard to how it works, I havenā€™t noticed any major differences. I am using it for separation anxiety with my rescued pup. Some days I come home and he is super calm, others

Pros
  • 2.6 x 4.21 x 7.2 inches; 5.44 Ounces
Cons
  • Can be dangerous if diffuser is knocked over or chewed

Weird smell to me? good for me

My anxious chihuahua seemed somewhat calmer when in the living room where the diffuser was placed, but I could not stand the smell. I havenā€™t noticed any other reviewers comment on this so maybe Iā€™m just weird, but I couldnā€™t keep it in main areas of the house.

Pros
  • Dogs
Cons
  • May not work on older dogs with cognitive dysfunction

Vendor review good for me

I wanted the company to see this photo and see if there is a possible fire concern. When I switched out this bottle, this is what I discovered. In addition, it was hot to the touch. The product seems to be working for my dog, but could this be a fire hazard?

Pros
  • Helps to restore balance to your dog's emotional state
Cons
  • May not work on dogs with anxiety related to grooming or vet visits

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Kinda expensive. but I think

It's worth trying for another month. I kinda forgot about it after the 4th was over. But it ran out about 2 days ago and the dog has been kinda high strung and barking more than usual these past 2 days exactly. So we've only been using it for four weeks and I think it's worth to keep it going another month.

Pros
  • Addresses the root cause of anxiety in dogs
Cons
  • May not be effective for dogs with anxiety around other animals

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not sure if it works.but easy to use

My mom's boxer mix is going through some anxiety, which, in combination with his reactivity and resource guarding is just a fun mix. We got this to see if it made any real difference, and honestly I can't say it has or hasn't. His behavior seems mostly the same, though we've been using a thunder jacket as well, which definitely does help and makes him feel a little more secure. He's going through a lot of demand barking when he's anxious or bored so we use the jacket in conjunction withā€¦

Pros
  • Can be used in combination with other behavioral therapies to improve results
Cons
  • May not work on dogs who are triggered by specific events or objects
