Review on Imperial Cat Neat Heavy Litter by Joyce Swihart

We used to have a more expensive plastic trash mat ($27, IIRC) and it worked very well, but had little to no back support (backing) and started to break down quickly. It also came folded, which only accelerated the process of collapsing where it was folded, further weakening it. The kittens started chewing on it which made things worse so I looked for another one. State on the toilet mat like pet stuff isn't expensive anymore, I thought we'd give it a try. I was a little surprised when I first opened it up to find that it was a woven indoor/outdoor rug. However, it seems to perform just as well as the others, it's a bit wider which is good, it's cheaper and it has a more serious base. We are happy with them. Update: After using this mat for about a month. Now I can safely say that it is MUCH better than the one it replaced. It holds a lot of litter and, better yet, kittens don't carry around litter. When I first took it outside to shake it, I was surprised at how much dirt came out. And the color is such that you can hardly see the collected rubbish either. We almost don't have to empty it that often. Highly recommended. as long as the price doesn't go up.
